The Nomi Song: Looks like an alien, sings like a diva - Klaus Nomi was one of the 1980s' most profoundly bizarre characters to emerge through rock music: a counter tenor who sang pop music like opera and brought opera to club audiences and made them like it. The Nomi Song is a film about fame, death, friendship, betrayal, opera, and the greatest New Wave rock star that never was!

This is an excellent documentary of one of the true artists of the New Wave era. He had an opera trained voice that had a soaring soprano to go with his counter-tenor. He left us too soon. I highly recommend this video to anyone who loves and or lived in the 80s.

You had to be stoned to listen to this guy back then. He made David Bowie look almost normal.

"If you just amass the courage that is necessary, you completely invent your self. You can be your own hero." Richard Hell. That just about summed up Klaus Nomi. What an amazing voice.
