The Principle: "The Principle" brings to light astonishing new scientific observations challenging the Copernican Principle; the foundational assumption underlying the modern scientific world view. The idea that the Earth occupies no special or favored position in the cosmos has launched the last two scientific revolutions - the Copernican Revolution and Relativity - and, as Lawrence Krauss has said, we could be on the verge of a third, with "Copernicus coming back to haunt us". Interviews with leading cosmologists are interspersed with the views of dissidents and mavericks, bringing into sharp focus the challenges and implications not only for cosmology, but for our cultural and religious view of reality.

An opportunity for clinically insane to spew forth claims that Earth is the centre of the universe and that everything in creation revolves around it... Spewed forth by people with the usual religious kind of zeal you would expect, from those blinkered by religion as the "only real explanation" for creation. The usual biased crap to underline the views of those who produced this baseless garbage, intermingled with unrelated interviews and quotes taken completely out of context, in an attempt to back up their nonsense as if it's fact. Next to politicians, nobody is better at 'spin' than those of a religious fervour, who simply refuse to accept genuine scientific evidence which contradicts their beliefs. Anyone with a modicum of intelligence and freedom of thought, will no doubt see this documentary for exactly what it is. The sequel to this documentary will no doubt try to convince us all that the earth is flat.

The universe has spoken and it has said: You owe me the rent bitches! Pay up or I'm sending another asteroid your way Like I did to the dinosaurs when they didn't pay!

According to this film's poster: THE UNIVERSE IS TRYING TO TELL US SOMETHING... Here it is: NO, YOU'RE NOT SPECIAL!

after watching the trailer, i'm pretty sure this scientific knowledge is already outdated. haven't we discovered many earthlike planetary bodies in the last few years?

Liked this documentary because it really says...we are not sure of many things. It also puts many assimilated concepts as facts of today's science into question. Many people always keep forgetting that Gravity is a theory, Heliocentrism is also one. This documentary merits a watch in my view. Like Socrates said once < I know that I know nothing > This avers true so far about the universe and even the plain we live in

Good grief! Get over yourself. You are born, you live, you die. It's not complicated. Though the endless/infinite speculation. Well to each their own.

My scientific/engineering mind continually tries to overrun my spiritual one. OK, fine...perhaps there is no benevolent God and mankind and earth are nothing special. However, I will continue to believe God exists and favors us, and I have hope in that. To do otherwise would mean life is meaningless and futile, that there is no right/wrong, or otherwise. Just chaos. I prefer Pascal's Wager.

Highly recommended for those who are familiar with quantum theory and mechanics, or think there might be another explanation for the nature of our universe and who we are. It's a good film, and asks more questions than it answers, but all according to scientific methods (they walk you through them). The contradictions and problem of being unable to prove certain things, is acknowledged. It's cutting edge, and brings the viewer up to date on the what scientists are looking at in the cosmology of the universe, and earth's place in it. For those kinda' nerds, and explorers. I learned a lot and I enjoyed it.

The film was criticized by the physicists who were misled into appearing in the film for being a dishonest presentation of its material and purpose while the scientific consensus is that observations have confirmed the Copernican principle. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Principle

This movie was made to counteract the huge awakening that is happening right now to the truth...the Earth is flat. The Big Bang and Evolution are more of the same bullshit all trying to keep humans feeling small and insignificant. Kaku and the rest of these pseudo scientists are trying to keep you clinging to their spinning ball, but the fact is that the Sun and moon revolve around the flat Earth and the stars and "planets" are part of the firmament. The Sun is not 93,000,000 miles away...it is more like 3,000 miles away. We are not moving...Michelson-Morely experiment. I have found other proofs in the airline industry...investigate. My channel on utube is rollingthunder42 ~ Look into it.
